Google Extends Its Free AI Pro Plan with Gemini 2.5 Pro

Google has officially confirmed about the availability of its 5 months of free AI Pro plan. This plan is available for the US students before and now the company has expanded this amazing offer to students in India, as they too can now avail Google’s AI Pro plan for a year for free.

Earlier today, Google announced via its official X handle that students in India can get its one-year AI Pro plan worth Rs 19,500 for free. The plan brings perks like Gemini in Google apps, Gemini 2.5 Pro, NotebookLM and access to Veo 3. The offer is only available until September 15, 2025.

To avail this offer, students need t visit the company’s official website offer redemption page and click on Verify eligibility. After the verification completes, students to be able to visit a verification page in a new tab where they will need to enter details like School’s name, first and last names, date of birth and email address (preferably a school email address). Once done, clicking on Verify student status will unlock Google AI Pro plan.

For those unaware, Google recently launched Veo 3 in India, Indonesia and the rest of Europe. Specifically, it is the Veo 3 Fast, which uses fewer tokens to generate videos with great details and sound.

Some of the other perks of the AI Pro plan includes NotebookLM which students can use to research and understand information by analysing documents and URLs. It also offers 2 TB of free cloud storage across Google apps like Drive, Photos, Gmail and more.

Besides, users can turn images into videos using Whisk Animate, get Gemini across the Google Workspace and get writing help. Google also recently rolled out the ability to convert still images into videos using Gemini. Google also rolled out free one-year AI Pro plan for Pixel 9 Pro users in the latest Pixel feature drop.
